The places

The city of Longueuil is located on the south shore of the Saint Lawrence River across from Montreal. The Longueuil Historical Society holds a rich collection of documents and photographs, including an archive of material about the Patriot Rebellions of 1837–38.

Montreal is home to 3.8 million people, two internationally renowned orchestras, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and the Montreal International Jazz Festival (26 June – 5 July 2015). Visitors to Montreal often go on to the Laurentians, the Eastern Townships, Quebec City and Ottawa.

The conference will be held in three different locations: the Longueuil Campus of the University of Sherbrooke, the Grande Bibliothèque of BAnQ and McGill University. For more details, please consult this document: GettingAround.

The Longueuil Campus is located two subway stations from the Grande Bibliothèque of BAnQ and six stations from McGill University. The Longueuil Campus is 25 km away from Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport and is accessible by car and public transportation (shuttles, buses and subway).
